Dear friends,

I have UHF and S-band receiving equipment available and would be interested in monitoring the probe's downlink, particularly as long as it is still not too far from earth in the next couple of days and tonight.
Does anybody have informations about the downlink frequencies? Is it all X-band, or are they using S-band and UHF as well?

Hi Janos,

thank you for the information. Unfortunately I cannot listen in the X-band. I found in the ITU database that Phobos-Grunt has a VHF allocation in the 125-175 MHZ band. Maybe this is for a tracking beacon.

Could you contact the poster in the other forum and ask about that. I cannot read, write or understand Russian.
